Actually, on the Stanford official website, it's written that there were no minimum requirement score for any test, such as TOEFL, GRE, or GMAT. But, based on their data from the real students, the benchmarking goes like this:
Requirements Score for MBA Stanford |
The average TOEFL score for 2023 students on MBA Stanford is 113. it is pretty high, I think.
Imagine, the maximum score for TOEFL IBT it 120. then 113 was the benchmark for MBA Stanford students. It means, that 113/120 = ±94% nearly perfect.
So the TOEFL is divided by 4 sections of test. Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. All of those contributed equally for the score.
So, maximum score for Reading is 30
maximum score for Listening section is 30
maximum score for Speaking section is 30 --> the raters was human
maximum score for Writing section is 30 --> the raters was human
Lets analyze what kind of people that can get 113 score on TOEFL. Those are must be really native in English, so we can assume for speaking and writing which are scored qualitatively, the result must be perfect.
Listening 30, Writing 30. sum for 60. remain 113 - 60 = 53
If we assume each of Reading and Listening they got 53/2 = 27 for each others.
that means 27 / 30 = 90%
if the question is 30, so the wrong answer is only 3! it is really amazing.
Can I as not a native in English scored for 113? I will do my best! yeah!
