Delivery (Score: 6/10):

Your delivery is generally clear, but there are some areas for improvement. You provide the necessary information about the memorable event and its significance. However, there are some instances of repetition and sentence structure that could be refined for smoother delivery. Work on varying your intonation and pacing to make your response more engaging and natural.

Language Use (Score: 5/10):

Your language use demonstrates a basic level of proficiency, but there are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings that affect the clarity and flow of your response. For instance, "the day that I record my scoring score" should be "the day when I recorded my scoring." Additionally, "scoring score" is redundant. There are also instances of incorrect verb tenses ("done" instead of "did," "is" instead of "was") and inconsistent word choices ("childhood" instead of "childhood match"). Improving your grammar and vocabulary will enhance the effectiveness of your response.

Topic Development (Score: 5/10):

You address the topic by describing the memorable event from your childhood and briefly explaining its significance. However, your explanation of the event's significance is somewhat vague and lacks specific details. You mention that the event helped you realize the importance of statistics, but you don't elaborate on how this realization impacted your current job or why statistics are important. Developing your explanation with more specific examples and details would strengthen your response.

Overall Total Score: 16/30

Your response shows potential, but there is room for improvement in terms of delivery, language use, and topic development. Focus on organizing your ideas clearly, using accurate grammar and vocabulary, and providing specific examples to support your points. Practicing these aspects will help you enhance your TOEFL iBT responses.

Task 4

Listening Passage:

Lecturer: Good morning, everyone. Today, we'll be discussing the evolution of modern architecture and its impact on urban landscapes. Modern architecture emerged during the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a response to the changing societal and technological landscape. It's characterized by clean lines, functional design, and the use of new construction materials such as steel, glass, and concrete.

One of the significant movements within modern architecture is the International Style, which emphasized simplicity, form follows function, and the rejection of ornate decorations. Architects like Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe were pioneers of this movement, designing structures that emphasized open spaces, large windows, and minimalistic design elements.

These structures reshaped skylines and urban environments, promoting a new way of thinking about the relationship between people and their surroundings.
