Sample Transcript: "Now, I'd like you to tell me about your favorite way to relax after a long day. Please include specific details and examples in your response. You will have 15 seconds to prepare, and your response should be no more than 45 seconds long."

My answer:

Okay interesting question what I'm doing if I have a really long day in my daily life such as from work or such as from exercise and so on actually the first one of course when I really enjoy to play with my children it's really happy for me happy for them and then it boosts my mood even if I got exhausted in my physics it doesn't matter because I can play with my children and then the second one of course I need my own time my meat time or just eat some my favorite food that's it

ChatGPT assessment:

Hello! Based on your response, I would rate your TOEFL speaking performance a 17 out of 30.

Your response was relevant and contained some good details, but it lacked coherence and organization. It would have been better if you had structured your response with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion.

Additionally, your answer was too short and did not fully address the prompt. You could have elaborated more on how playing with your children or eating your favorite food helps you relax after a long day. Moreover, your response had some grammatical errors and incorrect word choices, which affected your overall score.

To improve your score, I would recommend practicing more on your coherence and organization skills, and try to provide more detailed examples and explanations to support your ideas. Additionally, working on your grammar and vocabulary would also help you communicate more effectively.

Task 2: Integrated Speaking - Reading and Listening

Reading Passage:

The National Parks Service was established in the United States in 1916 to protect and preserve the country's natural and cultural resources. The National Parks, which include such iconic destinations as Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Grand Canyon, are some of the most visited tourist attractions in the United States. However, the National Parks face many challenges, including overuse, underfunding, and environmental threats.

Question: "The reading passage discusses the history of the National Parks in the United States. The professor gives examples of some of the challenges faced by the National Park Service. Summarize the information from the reading and the lecture, and explain whether or not you think the National Parks are still important today."

Sample Transcript: "Listen to a conversation between a professor and a student about the importance of National Parks. You will have 30 seconds to prepare a response that summarizes the main points of both the reading and the lecture and express your opinion. Then you will have 60 seconds to speak. Begin preparing now."

[Transcript of the Listening Part]

Professor: Today, we're going to talk about the National Parks in the United States. As you read in the passage, the National Park Service was created in 1916 to preserve the country's natural and cultural heritage. Since then, the National Parks have faced many challenges, including overuse, underfunding, and environmental threats. For example, in the 1970s, the National Park Service struggled to keep up with the growing number of visitors to Yellowstone National Park, which led to pollution and damage to the park's ecosystem.

Student: So do you think the National Parks are still important today?

Professor: Absolutely. Despite the challenges, the National Parks continue to provide opportunities for people to connect with nature and learn about the country's history and culture. In fact, many parks have expanded their programs to include environmental education and conservation efforts.

Student: I see. Thank you.

My answer:

The reading message wrote that the original box is really important for cultural or natural resource of our country or in this case it's United States and then I see the professor is aligned with the vision of the reading passage that the national parks face big challenges in point of view of such as overused underfunding and influential threats even if those issue can harm the National Park in the future but the professor is really support this National Park can continue

ChatGPT assessment:

Based on your response, it seems that you have included the main points from both the reading and listening passages. However, there are some errors in grammar and vocabulary that may affect your score. Here is a breakdown of your performance:

Content: 23/30

  • You accurately summarized the main points from the reading and listening passages, which included the history of the National Parks, the challenges they face, and the professor's opinion on their importance.

  • Your opinion on the importance of National Parks was not clearly expressed. You mentioned that the professor supports them, but did not elaborate on your own stance.

Delivery: 20/30

  • There were some grammar errors and incorrect word usage ("the original box" instead of "the National Parks", "influential threats" instead of "environmental threats").

  • Your response was somewhat disorganized and difficult to follow at times. It would have been helpful to structure your answer more clearly.

Overall, your score would be 43/60, which is equivalent to approximately 14-15 out of 30 on the TOEFL Speaking section. To improve your score, focus on using more precise vocabulary and sentence structures, and practice organizing your ideas more effectively. Good luck with your TOEFL preparation!

[Transcript of the Listening Part]

Professor: Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing our planet today. Rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events are all signs of the changing climate. These changes are affecting ecosystems, human health, and economies around the world. To mitigate the effects of climate change, we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and shift to cleaner, more sustainable sources of energy. This will require policy changes, technological innovations, and individual actions, such as driving less and using energy-efficient appliances.

My answer:

The professor said that in federal and environmental climate change is really issue for human kind today such as that Rising temperature and then extreme weather its sign of this climate change even if this really challenging for us the professor seems not really pessimistic instead he said that we have to work together from the side of policy from the set of analogical and then the individual action and then for the more that the professor said of the example if you want to help reduce the climate change we have to use less driving or energy efficient appliances at our home or on daily life that's it

ChatGPT assessment:

Overall, your response touches upon some of the main points discussed in the lecture, but there are several errors in grammar and sentence structure that make it difficult to understand at times. Additionally, some important details are left out, such as the impacts of climate change on ecosystems and economies.

If I were to rate your response on a scale out of 30, I would give it a score of around 17. To improve, try to focus on organizing your ideas and practicing more complex sentence structures. It may also be helpful to review vocabulary related to climate change and its impacts.

Task 4: Independent Speaking

Question: "What is your favorite book or movie? Please explain what you like about it and how it has impacted you."

In this task, you will have 15 seconds to prepare your response and then 45 seconds to speak. You should try to provide specific details and examples to support your answer. Remember, the purpose of this task is to assess your ability to communicate effectively in English, so be sure to speak clearly and fluently. Good luck!

My answer:

Wow it's really tempting Christian I will say that I have really moment to a book for my life it's the Toyota way because I am an entrepreneur and that book is really open my eyes that I can see what a waste is and then what we have to do with our production floor and then it changed my mindset while doing business so instead of finding really huge profit in day by day I I also considering to reduce weight on my daily business so this book I think it become a textbook for industrial industrial engineering and then for the Six Sigma or oh yes the 16th

ChatGPT assessment:

Thank you for sharing your response. Based on your answer, I would rate your TOEFL speaking response a 19 out of 30.

You addressed the prompt by sharing about your favorite book and explaining what you like about it, as well as how it has impacted you as an entrepreneur. However, there are several areas where you could improve your response.

Firstly, you seemed to struggle with fluency and clarity at times, which could make it difficult for a listener to understand your answer. You could benefit from practicing your speaking skills, perhaps by recording yourself and listening back to identify areas where you can improve.

Additionally, while you did provide some specific details about the book and how it impacted you, your response could benefit from more concrete examples and specific details. You mentioned that the book helped you change your mindset while doing business, but it would be helpful to elaborate on how it did so and provide specific examples of how you implemented these changes in your own work.

Overall, your response shows potential, but there is room for improvement. Keep practicing and working on your speaking skills, and be sure to provide specific examples and details to support your answers in the future. Good luck!
